Honoring Survivors with Peace Over Violence
Our mission is rooted in supporting communities and creating meaningful impact year-round. This April, and every day, we’re proud to stand alongside our Giving Partner Peace Over Violence in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month. This month is a time to listen, learn, support survivors, and take action toward a future free from violence.
Our Partnership with Peace Over Violence

Since 2023, we’ve partnered with Peace Over Violence (POV), a leading nonprofit dedicated to building healthy relationships, families, and communities free from sexual, domestic, and interpersonal violence. Together, we’ve donated over $300,000 in Thrive Causemetics and Bigger Than Beauty Skincare products to support their programs, helping survivors and feel supported and empowered.
Our partnership has come to life through impactful, community-driven experiences, including:
-
Makeup Masterclasses, where beauty becomes a tool for awareness and self-expression

-
Denim Day Rallies, standing in solidarity and advocating for survivors

- Self-Defense Classes, equipping our community with tools for safety and empowerment

Each of these moments has been rooted in a shared belief that healing, education, and community can drive real change.
The Work of Peace Over Violence
For over 50 years, Peace Over Violence has been at the forefront of a movement to end violence. Their programs span crisis intervention, prevention, education, and advocacy, offering free services like counseling, legal support, emergency response, and trauma-informed care to survivors. They are working to create a cultural shift by challenging harmful norms, uplifting survivors, and creating safer, more equitable communities.
Sexual Assault Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, a time to bring visibility to an issue that impacts millions, while uplifting survivors and advocating for change.
It’s a moment to:
-
Support survivors and honor their experiences
-
Increase awareness and education around sexual violence
-
Challenge harmful narratives and victim-blaming
-
Commit to building safer communities for all
Denim Day: A Global Movement for Change

On April 29, 2026, we’ll join millions around the world in recognizing Denim Day. Denim Day began as a protest against victim-blaming after a court ruling dismissed a rape case based on what the survivor was wearing. What started as a single act of solidarity has grown into a global movement that challenges harmful myths and stands firmly with survivors. By wearing denim, we send a clear message: there is never an excuse for sexual violence.
How You Can Take Action
Ending violence requires all of us. This Denim Day, we invite you to:
-
Wear denim on April 29th as a visible sign of solidarity
-
Start conversations that challenge harmful myths
-
Support organizations like Peace Over Violence by following their work, volunteering your time, or donating
-
Educate yourself and others on prevention and survivor support
Together, we can help create a world where everyone feels safe, supported, and free. We are deeply grateful to Peace Over Violence for their incredible partnership and their leadership in supporting and advocating for survivors.
